Mack (Gina Rodriguez) is a sharp, confident 33-year-old sports journalist in New York City, famous among her close-knit circle for orchestrating clever hookup “plays.” Alongside her best friend Adam (Damon Wayans Jr.), she navigates love like a game—until a one-night stand with Nick (Tom Ellis), a charming war correspondent, throws her strategy off course. When Nick brushes off their night together as meaningless, Mack launches a bold new move called “The Flurry,” enlisting her friends to help turn their brief encounter into something more. But as her feelings deepen, so do the complications. Tensions mount, especially with Adam’s girlfriend Claire (Ego Nwodim), who can’t ignore the spark between Mack and Adam. When Nick crosses a line professionally, Mack is forced to rethink everything—from her career to her relationships. As her latest article earns unexpected praise and personal revelations come to light, Mack is left to question whether love was right in front of her all along.
