The city that never sleeps is about to meet the girl that doesn't quit. Katie Gregerstitch (Jessica Simpson), a small-town Oklahoma beauty who's come to New York to visit her long-time boyfriend. otsoNY Comments: This film was intended as a wide theatrical release. However, the film tested poorly and studio executives then considered going direct to DVD as a result. Ultimately the studio decided to give it a limited theatrical release in Texas (the home state of Jessica Simpson and Luke Wilson) in an attempt to generate interest and more accurately assess the film's box-office potential. After the film grossed only $1190.00 on eight screens, the studio decided not to expand the limited theatrical release any further.
